Originally trained in law, Manfredi discovered his real calling not in the courtroom but at the table. His student years in Rome introduced him to gastronomy, Milan deepened the obsession, and soon he became known for his voracious curiosity about wine. L’Espresso named him “Best Customer of the Year” in 2019, a playful recognition of someone who spent as much time learning and tasting as others do studying textbooks.

In 2020, he took the natural next step: returning home to Marsala to make his own wines. With the support of Vincenzo Argileri of Vitead Ovest, he secured just 1.5 hectares in Ciavolo, a south-east facing plot of 35–40 year old vines. The site is a patchwork of varieties — Nocera, Corinto, Nerello Mascalese, Nero d’Avola, Zibibbo, Grillo, Catarratto, Grecanico — farmed organically on sandy-clay soils under a warm Mediterranean climate.

From this small vineyard come wines that feel entirely modern and forward-looking. A white that moves between salinity and aromatic lift, freshness and a gentle oxidative complexity. A red that is juicy, bright, and versatile across every season. Always Mediterranean, always elegant, never heavy.

These are bottles that speak of Marsala in a new key: delicate, noble, and sensitive. Wines to drink while thinking of the Stagnone sunsets, the scent of the sea, the flavours of Sicilian kitchens.
