Wyss Wine is Sandro’s ‘little, big heart project’. We are talking about a tiny, tiny, tiny Domaine of 0.8 hectares nestled in the Swiss Alps, producing some rare, high-altitude wines of remarkable minerality, clarity and finesse.

Located in a remote corner of Switzerland’s alpine landscape, Wyss Wines operates at the frontier of artisanal mountain viticulture. The estate’s minuscule plots are perched on steep, sun-drenched slopes where poor, rocky soils and intense diurnal variation shape wines of unmistakable mineral tension and vibrant acidity. Farming is done strictly according to biodynamic principles, not as a marketing gesture but as a way of deepening the connection between vine, grower, and the larger ecological rhythm.

What sets Wyss Wines apart is not just the precision in the glass, but the philosophy behind it. Sandro loves his wines, loves his land and sees himself as a piece of a whole, a son of the earth. Whether working among the vines or hiking above them on his rare days off, he remains immersed in nature. His wines, therefore, are not extracted from a place—they emerge from it. They are joyful to drink, gastronomically versatile, and yet, at their core, utterly serious in their intent. They whisper of the mountain, not shout from it.

Tiny in scale but immense in character, Wyss Wines are among the most exciting expressions in Switzerland today. With production measured in mere hundreds of bottles per year, these are wines for the quietly curious and the deeply discerning.
