Daniel Twardowski: Hofberg and Ardoise Retrospective

Daniel Twardowski comes to London for a rare and intimate dinner, to present a retrospective of his iconic Hofberg and Ardoise cuvées, taking us back to their very first vintages (2011 for Ardoise and 2018 for Hofberg).

A timely reminder of the vision and sheer force of will behind one of the most radical and compelling stories in modern German wine.

Fifteen years ago, on the vertiginous slopes of the Dhroner Hofberg, Twardowski defined convention and the opprobrium of his scandalised neighbours to top-graft Pinot Noir onto old Riesling vines. His goal was to produce wines of Burgundian finesse, precision, and haunting elegance, but born from Mosel slate.

Today he has been more than vindicated, with his wines assuredly within the very top echelon in Germany and rivalling the finest in Burgundy.

This is a unique opportunity to taste the evolution of a pioneering project, and enjoy some of the most exciting and expressive Pinot Noir being made anywhere in the world today.
